Gitgit Waterfall 

 

          This is truly a scenic site, not to be missed if you visit Bali. Located on the left side of the main road to Singaraja from Denpasar, just as the road begins to head down the mountain to Singaraja, it is easily accessible. It takes quite a long walk past a myriad of sarong and handicraft stalls but is definitely worth the trip! Aside from the waterfall's majestic beauty, it beholds a visual revelation. Try looking into the cascades of water for a minute or so, then look at one of the rocks. May sound cryptic, but you will not be disappointed!

 

Bali Handara Cosaido

          Located two hours from Denpasar and more than 1,000 meters above sea level, the course provides a cool retreat from Bali's heat. Green mountains and an amazing variety of lush tropical vegetation surround this 18-hole championship course situated in the crater of a volcano. Claiming to be one of the most challenging courses in Asia, it offers thrills for the beginner and professionals alike.  

 

Eka Karya Botanical Garden  

 

         Located in the small village of Candikuning not far from Danau Bratan is the Bali Botanical Gardens, its full name being Kebun Raya Eka Karya Bali. A short walk from the nearby Bukit Mungsu Markets, you really cannot miss the entrance as you will see a giant corn-on-the-cob statue marking the way. There are more than 700 different species of trees from around the world in the park and each tree has a plaque at its base telling you of its origin and name species. 
 

Ulun Danu Beratan

         Ulun Danu Temple, on the western shore of the lake, dramatic Pura Ulun Danu Beratan projects into the water. This is the temple of the lake goddes who is much revered as a source of fertility. Built by the king of Mengwi in 1633. It consists of four compounds, the two outermost of which are completely surrounded by water.
When the three-tiered Siwaitic lingga petak was recently restored, the builders discovered a bubbling spring and a big white stone flanked by two red ones a phallic lingga representing the reproductive power of Siwa as the god of fertility. Towering above this, on a separate islet, is a single shrine of 11 roofs dedicated to Wisnu in his manifestation as the lake goddess Dewi Danu. who protects all living creatures.

 

Taman Ayun Temple

         Taman Ayun Temple located in Mengwi and was the area of royal temple which is built in the year 1634, the temple consists of a forecourt, a central court and a spacious inner court. A lake of lotus surrounds the area of the temple, about 300 meters in the side of Mengwi Palace. Beyond the moat, the temple lies on slightly rising ground. 
Taman Ayun literally translates as "beautiful garden' and is generally regarded as one of the most attractive temples of Bali. Taman Ayun is situated in a beautiful park with trees and ponds, near the village of Mengwi in the south of Bali at about 8 km southwest of Ubud and 18 km northwest of Denpasar.
